Avocado Milkshake

My love for avocado started when I tasted guacamole in a Mexican restaurant a few years back. I tried this delicious dip at home too and it is so simple to make. You can check out the recipe here. Choosing the ripe avocado is simple. Always remember to pick slightly soft one, not too firm or too mushy. I just love the fresh green colour flesh of this amazing fruit !!

I never thought of making anything else using avocado. Our friend and neighbour, Sarannya mentioned to me a few times that she makes delicious milkshake using these and she usually have it as breakfast :). This inspired me and finally I prepared the milkshake a couple of days back. The Avocado milkshake was colourful, thick and totally yummy. I felt it tasted a little similar to the tender coconut water. My son who is a fan of guacamole loved this yummy shake too. Thanks Sarannya for this great recipe, we loved it :)

Serves 2

You need...

1 ripe Avocado
1.5 cups Milk
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Condensed Milk (optional)

To prepare..

Cut the avocado into half. Remove the pit and scoop out the flesh using a spoon. Blend this along with other ingredients. Adjust sweetness and milk as per your choice. Serve chilled. Drizzle honey on top if you desire.
