Green Chapathi.....no, its not using Spinach. That is the usual Green chapathi I make. I will post the recipe for Spinach chapathi soon. This Green chapathi is made using the Coriander leaves or Cilantro. This was an experiment and they came out really good. We just loved it. When you fry the chapathis on the tava, you will get a fresh aroma of the coriander leaves, thats really good !! You can make these using mint leaves also. I am yet to try that out.My little one was excited to see the green colour and he was saying "Green pachathi." :)

Green Chapathi/Cilantro Chapathi |
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves - a small bunch (I took about 8-10 big strands)
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Ginger - 1" pc, chopped
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Yogurt - 2 tbsp (optional)
Green Chillies - 2
Oil - 1 tsp
Salt
Put the coriander leaves, ginger pieces, jeera, green chillies into the blender.
Make a smooth paste by adding a very little water. It shouldnt be too watery.
I got about 1/4th cup of the coriander paste.
In a bowl, put the flour. Sprinkle salt and oil.
Knead the flour by adding the coriander paste, yogurt, and a little water.
Make a smooth dough. If you have time, keep the dough aside covered for about 10-15 minutes.
Then make medium size balls, roll them and fry the chapathis.
If you want you can apply some oil on both sides.
Serve it hot. I served it with a simple dal.
Makes about 6 medium size chapathis.
